Dragonfly Minerals is for teens, and their parents!! We are here to provide teens with great mineral makeup formulated specifically for them. And for parents who would like to be sure their teens are wearing safe cosmetics in sheer & natural colors, allowing their natural & inner beauty to shine through.

Most commercial brand cosmetics contain lots of synthetic ingredients which have been found to be either carcinogenic, or just otherwise unhealthy while Dragonfly Minerals is made of just pure minerals.

Most commercial cosmetics contain ingredients which can harbor bacteria. Our mineral makeup cannot. And while most cosmetics companies advise women to replace their cosmetics frequently to avoid bacteria build-up, many do not heed this warning.

Our mineral foundations are 100% pure, crushed minerals and therefore are non-comedogenic, do not harbor bacteria, & will not irritate sensitive skin.

Dragonfly Mineral Foundations are extremely light, semi-translucent foundation powders with a slight sheen for a fresh look. Only six shades are available as due to the sheerness, only six are needed. This also keeps matching shades easier!

Our foundations have been formulated with teens in mind- they are more sheer than our adult formulations as lighter coverage is generally necessary & they are specifically formulated to absorb excess oils.

Dragonfly Foundations provide as little, or as much coverage as is desired based on applying with a layering system, and contain only pure, crushed minerals which will not & cannot harbor bacteria. And they have SPF 15! Net weight 5 grams.

This is the way we see it- teens want to wear makeup because a) they want to fit in & b) they want to cover the acne which is prevalent during teenage years. Parents want a) if their teens choose to wear makeup, for that makeup to contain natural ingredients & to be natural-looking, b) for the makeup to be non-comedogenic & good for sensitive skin types, c) for the makeup to be safe in that it will not harbor bacteria if it is not changed out as often as it should be or if it is not properly removed at night like it should be.

That's where we come in! Our makeup is natural looking, non-comedogenic, made of all natural & inert ingredients, & it is packaged in smaller quantities for two reasons- so that it fits into your teen's budget & because in order to be used safely, all makeup should be changed out frequently to prevent any sort of contamination.

Mineral makeup is very different than more traditional commercial liquid makeup and as such, it needs to be applied using a different technique. One of the main points to remember when first learning to apply mineral makeup is that a very small amount goes a very long way. The key is to start by using a very small amount of mineral and applying in very sheer layers until you reach the desired coverage. It is much easier to add layers than to take them off. It is also extremely important to wait to apply mineral makeup until your moisturizer has been completely absorbed by the skin before applying mineral makeup.

1. Twirl a small amount of Erth Minerals into the lid with the Flawless Face Brush (for lighter coverage) or a Lush Kabuki Brush (for more coverage) until the minerals are tucked into the bristles.

2. Tap off excess. There should be no visible product on the outside of the brush.

3. Brush onto the skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the outside of your face near your cheekbones. Then, buff around the remainder of the face, working your way to the cheeks, forehead, and nose. Buff until you're satisfied with the coverage. Remember, a little goes a long way. You can always increase coverage by adding additional layers.
